003: Thank You

Question Everything - Intro

“My Mom gave me the most valuable advice I have ever received at a young age: question everything. Now, I pass the spirit of those words on to whomever else finds it valuable as well.” – Joshua Pierre

I must first thank you, the reader, for taking the time to step into my mind. There’s a slew of topics that is essential when answering the questions associated with “everything.” One by one I will go through different aspects of society: movies, music, books, politics, politics, sports, health, food, travel, etc. that will give flowers and the spotlight on interesting and worthwhile information. There are threads that intersect between compartmentalized industries that, on the surface, appear to not have anything to do with one another, but deeper research shows the analytical depth of systematic viruses that have infected the system we experience our reality in. This collection of blogs will attempt to find the connections and truth behind the madness that has been hidden behind a fog of misconceptions, false narratives, and biased historical perspectives. The first step in questioning everything is to let go of everything you think you know about facts, history, education, government, etc. and use it all as simply a possible explanation, not one built in certainty. Collecting information is like collecting Pokémon and there’s enough information to give directions towards answers one may seek in their heart.

Next, I must thank my mother for her guidance and the blessing that it is to be her son. She is the inspiration for this whole line of questioning and it’s something I will pass down to my children and to whoever happens to find pleasure or useful information from this collection. I thank my family and friends, all those who say to chase my dreams, and go for it, because my mom, who was my ride or die, died, and now she won't be able to see the work that's coming. I miss her every day. It sucks once you lose a parent, in any manner, a pillar and rock in your life vanishes and you try to go forward without the backup you once had. Over time, I realized that she was with me. With every word I write, every question I ask, every decision I make I know she has my back the whole way. And I can only say thank you to the whole universe for giving me a one-of-a-kind mom. I have met many people in my life, but they don’t even put a dent in the number of people on this planet, apparently, especially if you were to go by my friends list. Thank you for the gifts and the ability to discern for myself what I find true in the world. To consistently be a light in the shadow of darkness. To see with a heart, mind and spirit that is full of hope. Understanding in the spectrum and scope of our existence. Confidence to trust that we are all working together towards a future that we should be able to influence and impact on our environment and community, for the better, without the restrictions of those out of touch.

I must take the time to thank everyone that has lived, who are living, and who will live in the future. Whether for their contribution, or lack thereof, to the world through their experience, action, and life that endures through the fires of those initiated into the quest of truth holding the torch of illumination. Giving thanks is warranted to have complete freedom in discussing all topics and all things possible with respect. My thanks extend to those in history that may have nothing to do with my existence, but they helped someone somewhere exist, and everyone matters, truly. Your opinion, thoughts, experience, interpretation, and participation, no matter what it is, negative or positive, matters and effects the world we are in today. Simple to grasp, but to not think so is to downplay yourself, and there many People who set the bar low for themselves. The extent of anyone’s capacity begins with the mind and it’s a tragedy to allow one’s imagination to dim and restrict expansion of understanding. Even I found myself doing this to myself during this journey towards finding “truth.” I give myself permission to participate in the zeitgeist of information now. The works that come from the development of this imaginative dream will develop over the course of the entries of each post and the adaptation works attached to the written collections of forewords and analyses that will be curated. This is meant to help others question everything. No topic is off limits or too “taboo.” Best to keep an open mind when going deeper than the surface.

I must thank the natural world in this same reverence of understanding by accepting that there is no real reason for the mass slaughter and destruction of animals and resources at the level, and extent, that corporations and governments have been able to take it to. At some point humanity must be the caretakers and the vehicle that allows the natural world to prosper in conjunction with our environment and the city scapes. There’s something to natural law of the universe that speaks wonders about the micro and macrocosm of existence. Allow me to elaborate on this in further entries.

There’s no way to leave out the people closest to me: my family, friends, and the ones I was lucky enough to interact and be around throughout my life, because in some shape or form, I wouldn’t be who I am without the influence that they have all played in my life. It takes a village, so keep your village close and treasure the times that you have with them before they go on to the next place beyond the material body. My mother passed away in the early 2020s, post pandemic, and with that light and love missing in my life, I have found myself more lost and then profoundly discovered through the process of grief, acceptance, and being able to love myself enough to treat myself the way I believe I should be treated. I'm thankful for the bad experiences also. Including the darker side of my own personality, the one that came on the field as my dad would remind us to play with reckless abandon. The blood, the sweat, the tears, the heartbreaks, the wrong decision, the laziness, the pain, the days, the nights, the beauty, the gross, the moments that take my breath away, my life--its beautiful and complicated, and now it continues to go forward as we bring forward the future generations, who will no doubt help course correct our path together.

Question Everything, Thank You.
